Mymeet.ai for Zoom — User Guide

Mymeet.ai for Zoom — User Guide

Mymeet.ai is an AI meeting notetaker. After you connect your Zoom account, a Mymeet.ai bot joins your Zoom meetings as a visible participant on your behalf and, with the host's recording permission, records the audio and video. After the meeting, Mymeet.ai produces a recording and a transcript you can access in your Mymeet.ai dashboard.

Adding the app

Prerequisites

  • A Mymeet.ai account (https://app.mymeet.ai/)

  • A Zoom account (to authorize the connection and create the meetings you want to record)

Steps

  1. Go to https://app.mymeet.ai/ and create an account or sign in.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Integrations.

  3. Under Available, click Zoom SDK.

  4. On the Zoom SDK page, click Connect.

  5. You're redirected to Zoom's official authorization page. Review the requested permissions and approve them.

  6. You're returned to the Zoom SDK page, which confirms the connection was successful.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot sign in, or the authorization with Zoom fails, contact us at hello@mymeet.ai.

Record a live Zoom meeting

Use case: Capture a Zoom meeting and receive a recording, transcript, and AI summary without taking notes manually.

Prerequisites

  • A Mymeet.ai account

  • The Zoom meeting invite link (and password, if the meeting has one)

  • The meeting host must grant the bot recording permission

Steps

  1. In Mymeet.ai, click Add new meeting.

  2. From the list of supported platforms, select Zoom.

  3. In the Capture live Zoom meeting dialog, paste the meeting invite link. If the meeting is password-protected, enter the password. Optionally choose a template and name the meeting.

  4. Click Record meeting.

  5. Within about 1–5 minutes, the Mymeet.ai bot joins the meeting as a visible participant, attributed to your Zoom account.

  6. In Zoom, admit the bot if prompted and grant the recording permission. The bot never records covertly — recording proceeds only with the host's permission.

Note

Bots can occasionally be unstable (e.g., due to platform-side restrictions). As a fallback, you can record the meeting directly in Zoom and upload the file to Mymeet.ai, or use the Mymeet.ai Chrome extension instead.

View recordings, transcripts, and summaries

Use case: Access, review, and manage the outputs of your recorded meetings

Prerequisites: At least one completed recording

Steps

  1. Open your dashboard at https://app.mymeet.ai/. Each completed meeting appears

with its recording and transcript. You can delete an individual recording or transcript

    at any time.

Removing the app (disconnecting Zoom)

You can remove Mymeet.ai at any time.

Steps:

  1. In Mymeet.ai, go to Integrations → Zoom SDK.

  2. Click Disconnect.

What happens when you disconnect:

  • Mymeet.ai can no longer join Zoom meetings on your behalf.

  • Your Zoom OAuth connection is deleted from our database immediately.

  • Recordings and transcripts already generated follow our retention policy: they are retained for 30 days and then deleted; raw meeting media is destroyed immediately after processing. To delete specific recordings sooner, delete them from your dashboard or contact hello@mymeet.ai.

To fully remove your account, contact hello@mymeet.ai.

How the Zoom connection works

Mymeet.ai joins your Zoom meetings using the Zoom Meeting SDK, attributed to your Zoom account via On-Behalf-Of (OBF) and ZAK tokens — in line with Zoom's attributed-join requirement effective 23 February 2026. The bot always appears as a visible, named participant and only records once the host grants recording permission.

Short-lived join tokens are requested right before each session and held in memory only — never written to disk or a database. Your OAuth connection is stored securely and deleted immediately when you disconnect the integration. Basic profile data (user ID, name, email) is used only to identify your account and attribute the bot correctly, and is never sold or shared. Final recordings are stored encrypted, both in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
